With our unwavering commitment to providing clients an exceptional building experience, R. Henry Construction built and opened The Mankato Design Center (MDC) in 2009. MDC is a custom, all in one design center showcasing five independent businesses which include The Design Element, Lights on Madison, Artisans, Cabinet Lab, and R. Henry Construction. Working in tandem with these partners, we provide interior design services.
The Design Element
The Design Element is a full-service interior design studio specializing in residential and commercial projects. They are located in the heart of MDC. They create thoughtful, beautiful interiors that meet their clients’ aesthetic, functional, and economic goals while honoring our client’s schedules. They help clients understand and define their desires, then create a design that accommodates and elaborates on the objectives.
Cabinet Lab
The Cabinet Lab provides custom design and options for cabinetry, cabinet hardware, and countertops. Their showroom displays an array of vendors from each of our specialties and provides samples and materials for informed project decisions. They have kitchen and bath designers on staff for new construction and remodel projects that can provide their expertise and a rendered layout for start to finish guidance and execution.
Lights on Madison
Lights on Madison is located within The Design Element with a lighting showroom and dedicated, ALA certified Lighting Specialists available to assist with client’s plans. They offer lighting, artwork, mirrors, and accessories.
Artisans
Artisans sets the standard when it comes to home improvement stores. They offer you an experience to help make all of your exterior housing dreams a reality, with experienced staff to walk you through every step of the way. They specialize in selling only the best quality exterior and select interior products that are reliable and durable. They carry products ranging from siding, decking, railing systems, windows, stone, brick, exterior doors, patio doors, interior doors, overhead doors, exterior and interior door hardware, and more. They carry brand names that you can trust such as Marvin, Schlage, Masonite, TimberTech, Eldorado, LP, James Hardie, just to name a few. With free service such as product selection services, consultations, and personalized quotes, they are the new standard in home improvement.
