Evidencing our commitment to providing clients an exceptional building experience, R. Henry Construction built and opened The Mankato Design Center (MDC) in 2009. MDC is a custom, all in one design center showcasing five independent businesses which include The Design Element, Lights on Madison, Artisans, Cabinet Lab, and R. Henry Construction. Working in tandem the businesses of the Mankato Design Center provide home inprovement clients with a one of a kind, professional experience from start to finish.
The Design Element
The Design Element is a full-service interior design studio specializing in residential and commercial projects. They are located in the heart of MDC. They create thoughtful, beautiful interiors that meet their clients’ aesthetic, functional, and economic goals while honoring client schedules. TDE helps clients understand and define their goals, then creates a design package catered to those objectives.
Cabinet Lab
The Cabinet Lab provides custom design options for cabinetry, cabinet hardware, and countertops. Their showroom displays an array of vendors from each of those specialties and provides samples and materials to help make informed project decisions. Cabinet Lab utilizes kitchen and bath designers to assist with new construction and remodel projects.
Lights on Madison
Lights on Madison is located within The Design Element with a lighting showroom and dedicated, ALA certified Lighting Specialists available to assist with client’s plans. They offer lighting, artwork, mirrors, and accessories.
Artisans
Artisans sets the standard when it comes to home improvement quality and service. They offer you an all in one experience to help make all of your exterior housing dreams a reality, with experienced staff to walk you through every step of the way. They specialize in selling only the best quality exterior as well as select interior products that are reliable and durable.
For all of the products Artisans sells, they also offer installation. Artisans will line up the project for you.
